Tom E Lin is a Manchester-based ceramic and illustrative print artist working from a studio at Broadstone Mill, Reddish. Every piece of pottery and every lino print is made entirely by hand in small batches — no shortcuts, no mass production.
The ceramic work spans functional stoneware — mugs, bowls, plates, vases, planters, and more — crafted to be used daily and designed to last. Each piece is wheel-thrown or hand-built, glazed and kiln-fired in the studio.
The lino print collection runs alongside the ceramics, with hand-carved original prints available as limited editions and greeting cards. Animal, botanical, landscape, and abstract subjects — all carved and printed by hand on heavyweight paper or linen.

About Tom.E.Lin
Handmade ceramics and lino prints from a Manchester studio
Every piece I make is hand-thrown or hand-built in small batches, finished with considered glazes, and fired in my studio kiln. My lino prints are hand-carved and printed by hand — no digital shortcuts. Each one is a real object made with real effort.
Ceramics
My ceramic work spans functional pottery and decorative pieces — mugs, bowls, vases, planters, and more. I work primarily in stoneware, drawn to its warmth and durability. The aesthetic sits somewhere between utilitarian and quietly beautiful: pieces built to be used, but worth looking at.
Illustrative print work
My lino print practice runs alongside the ceramics. I carve directly into lino by hand, building compositions from repeated marks and textures. Subject matter shifts with the seasons — animals, botanicals, landscapes, and abstract forms all find their way into the work. Prints are available as limited edition originals and as greeting cards.
The studio
Broadstone Mill is a former Victorian cotton mill in Reddish, Stockport — now a thriving creative hub home to artists, makers, and small studios. It’s where I spend most of my time, surrounded by clay dust and ink. If you’re local, commissions and studio visits are welcome — get in touch.
Commissions and wholesale
I take on a limited number of commissions each year for bespoke ceramic pieces and custom print editions. If you have a project in mind — a wedding gift, a housewarming set, or something for a retail space — send me a message and let’s talk.
